Rakie was born in England in 1979, but quickly found herself shunted over to the sunny Isle of Man, where she has lived for a large percentage of her life (but is still not Manx). Her first published novel, Terror Island, was released through Hadesgate Publications in November 2007; her second, Moths, Aswang Press, released 2010.
Home Ground is out now.
Her interests include trashy horror books, Italian cannibal movies, anything with zombies, comic books, Assassin's Creed, fonts, shiny objects, and drinking too much red wine and coffee. In her spare time, she likes to sleep. She lives with her long-suffering partner John, their hyperactive son Jacob, and their cat Leibowski, who is really quite sane except for his Nam flashbacks. |
